Long Overdue

Hey girls! I hope that all is well. With spring upon us, its very busy here at work, but I wanted to stop in with an update. (We make lawn and garden tools, so obviously we are "in season") In the world of Erin, things are constantly changing as they stay the same. I got tired of hearing myself say that I was going to go back to school and get my real estate license, so I am finally doing it. In Ohio, you have to take 120 classroom hours to qualify to sit for the exam, so I have 10 weeks + finals, Tues - Thurs, 6-10 PM. Its long and I have no life, but I will be done in mid-June, so its tough to complain. The man situation is still non-existent, but there is a cute boy in one of my classes, so I will slowly find ways to make a fool of myself in front of him. I never "mean" to, but it generally happens anyway. It is sorta cool to have a crush on someone again. You feel like a 6th grader, all silly and giddy inside, but its way more fun then the feeling that your bed is still empty, as it has been for over 2 years. (Jesus, thats pathetic!)

Mom bought a new house, so we have spent a lot of time together, moving, packing, unpacking and shopping. I bought her a roomful of furniture as her housewarming gift. It felt awesome to be able to do that. It was a shining moment of feeling like a grown up. Even though I am 25, I still mostly feel like a kid. I forget that on paper, I own my own home, I have been in this job close to 5 years, I have a college degree, and the dog doubles as a child. That is all grown up stuff. Its just hard to remember that it makes me a grown up too. I just see moments in my life, both at work and at home, when I stop and go "That was a grown up thing to do."

Thats about it, the short version of the update. Check in when you all have time, and let everyone know how things are going =) Happy Sunshiny Day!!
